Two Bad Hands?

I would love your comments: This first hand I am playing two super loose players. They have been aggressive pre and post flop with ATC and C-bet a pot sized bet or more every time.

jamyhawk2 checks<--I plan to check raise since this table is so loose.

Gamblour folds
jamyhawk2 raises to $10<--I am trying to count outs (diamonds, any J, any 6). Big semi-bluff!
nickthegreek420 calls $5<--OK. He has something. I put him on A10 with the pre-flop raising. I don't think 44 or 77 with this table, they have been more prone to play any Ace.
*** TURN *** [Th 4d 7d] [Ts]
jamyhawk2 has 15 seconds left to act
jamyhawk2 checks<--I figure I am behind here.
nickthegreek420 checks<--??? What does he have? A 10 bets something. Diamond draw definately tries to push me out. A set of 4's or 7's bets.
*** RIVER *** [Th 4d 7d Ts] [Jh]<--Sweet action!
jamyhawk2 has 15 seconds left to act
jamyhawk2 bets $10<--obvious bet. Look like a steal?
nickthegreek420 raises to $20<--NICE! He has a J? He can't have a 10J or would have bet on the set of 10's.
jamyhawk2 raises to $44.15, and is all in<--Insta re-raise.
nickthegreek420 calls $8.35, and is all in
Uncalled bet of $15.80 returned to jamyhawk2
*** SHOW DOWN ***
jamyhawk2 shows [9d 8d] a straight, Jack high
nickthegreek420 mucks
jamyhawk2 wins the pot ($80.70) with a straight, Jack high

Seat 7: The Shrog is sitting out
Seat 8: mixmixmix didn't bet (folded)
Seat 9: izclozed didn't bet (folded)

Hey Jamy. On that first hand,I'd be willing to put in my whole stack on that flop. Figure 17 outs twice, even against aces ur ok (don't know the math exactly). Check raise was a must to try to take it down right away as u knew he would c-bet w/anything, though he actually had a hand. Shoulda checkraised more i think if you wanted to take the pot there cause he had to call even w overcards. His check on the turn was totally retarded and he got what he deserved.
That 2nd hand is the reason why you take flyers on hoping to hit a set against certain people, risk $2 to win $50. Couldn't lay down tptk on that board for his stack..sweet. JJ 88 is possible, but it's also possible for me to get a blow from gold bikini pricess leia. I ain't countin on it. Nice session there jamy (unless the kk hand wiped u out.)

Hey Jamy,

I'm going to play a little devil's advocate on the first hand (but is also how I would have probably played it).

1st the preflop call. A little loose as you only KNOW of one person coming along. It sounds like the other guy was loose as well and if can count on him calling then maybe it is OK.

You really can't ask for too much of a better flop. You're are ahead of most hands. Given that, I would also check raise; but boy do I hate min raises. Although you are willing to throw all your chips in the middle most likely, you hand still is NOT made and I would be happy to take it down here. So, My raise is a little more.

Turn.. You showed strength on Flop with Check/Raise and then slow down on Turn. I absolutely don't like this. Your betting patterns need to make sense. What story are you trying to tell here with a check. I guess either a monster or a draw.

Of course alls well that ends well and you get paid off on the river. NH.

2nd hand... no real beefs other than min raise. Boy, do I hate those.. lol. No need to bet your set against aggressive types; but it is a fairly scary board.

There you have it and there you are. I, too, am mostly a limit player so take it for what it is worth.
