Domo Arigoto Mr Roboto

The internet is truly amazing. I want to build my itunes library with more songs from my high school days, including one hit wonders. I just google search classic rock playlists from 1980-1985 and *POOF*: I have it. Lists of songs, some of which I have forgotten (and some I will forget again).

I've played almost as much live poker as online over the last few weeks. How's it going? Let's see:
1)18 players -finished 9th
2)13 players -finished 1st
3)27 players -finished 12th
4)20 players -finished 18th

The 27 player tournament is my monthly WSOP wanna be tournament. We have played 8 of 12 tournaments and I am ranked 4th (disappointing to say the least). Top 3 spots will get a buy in to the WSOP this year (1st gets the Main Event -the other two get $1500 buy ins). It's an interesting series to say the least, because you have to focus on winning the monthly tournament, but also try to get as many points as possible each month. Sometimes your decisions will be different depending on which you are focusing on at any given moment. I have won enough money to cover 10 of the 13 buy ins, so that helps. We finish up in April with a "2 tournaments in one day" extravaganza.

I was looking at Party Poker the other day, which is one of the best UK poker sites on the net. I heard a rumor that they might be opening up play to the United States players again. We still talk about how "juicy" it was playing there. . Anyone else heard anything on this?

Anyway, looks like it's back to work. Stay patient....

2nd Annual Charity Poker Tournament for Colon Cancer Patients

Our next charity tournament will be Saturday, February 28th, 2009. We have already secured some great prizes, including an $800 Visa Check Card to First Place. Please visit http://figgtreepoker.blogspot.com/ to see the list of sponsors so far.

But, we are still in need of prizes. Any monetary or prizes donated would be greatly appreciated. We need money, online poker funds, hats, shirts, electronics, books, poker chips, or anything else that we could give away as a prize. These tournaments are only a success because of the donations we get as prizes. The better the donations, the better the prizes, the more people we can entice into playing. All the money raised will go directly to Colon Cancer Patients. For more information, go to http://www.figgtree.com/ .

Last year we raised right at $3,000. This year, I would love to raise over $5,000.

You may contact the foundation directly, or leave a post here and I will contact you. Or you may contact me at broncohawk7 at yahoo dot com.

Thanks for considering this.

Today's view

Screw this cold weather! It takes a crabby mood and magnifies it 5X. And this wasn't the temperature at midnight. It was 1 degree at 8:30am, well after the sun came up. It's been 21 months since I had a vacation: I NEED ONE NOW!

Today's view

This is looking out my window today. I am 11 stories up and the wind is HOWLING through our building. You can actually watch the windows moving in and out. Notice the flags in the picture and how windy it is here today.

It's not how you play the game

Full Tilt Point Tournaments

Have you ever won one of these? Have you even ever played in one? I thought I would give it a try and *POOF* I won! 500 FTP to get in and I won a buyin to the Sunday 750K. That's great and all, but I can't play in the tournament, so I went to unregister thinking I would get $216 Tournament Dollars. Instead, I got 43,000 fulltilt points.

So what do you do with 43,000 FTP's? With the points I built up, I almost have enough for a Garmin. Or maybe I could get a chip set (or 4). I could also get a Jersey (or 2). Anyway, I'll probably sit on the points for now. And maybe I'll play a few more of these until I have enough points for a custom avatar (1 million FTP's). LOL. . .

Another FTOPS is coming: Check it out HERE

I don't know why, but I'm obsessed with getting the avatar.

The HAWK Part III

We started with 16 runners this time. A little low, but expected since a lot of people were still traveling home from holiday trips. Just a few hands in. BigOface is almost out. He gets down to under 200 chips (after starting with 3000).

First player out is Mazoo99 on a busted draw....

Next out is ifoldallthetime. I couldn't see his muck since he was at another table, but I would guess it was a suckout that took him out...

Andybel142 takes out Mandalgan, putting Andy as the chip leader by far.

BigOface (my son) stays alive after I try to take him out with da bitches.

babbs01 is the next one out, with Acerag.

I get knocked out on an attempted blind steal shove. I was down to 500 chips or so at the time.

BigOface outlasts his dad (me) but goes out right afterwards to blowinadeuce's mighty K2soooted...

Next out is the once big chip leader Andybel142. blowinadeuce continues to dominate anyone that takes him on. Bowie300 gets caught up in the big pot with bad timing for 2 pair and he goes out after Andybel142 only because his chip stack was bigger.

With Andybel142 and Bowie300 gone, we are down to the final table and only 8 players left. Blowinadeuce has a DOMINATING chip stack.

Here thecloserx5 wins a HUGE pot to take out JohnWPSpoker and takes about half of blowinadeuce's chips.

next out is pjloch with a pocket pair shove that can't beat Acerag.

Thecloserx5 wins another big one to take out the defending champion trusturgutshot.

Thecloserx5 continues his domination, taking out tgrazz's bitches, with Acerag.

blowinadeuce is officially out and then changed his name to blowinthechiplead. thecloserx5 now has everyone completely dominated in chips.

shimmshady goes out 3rd and first out that made the money. He gets $32.

Thecloserx5 takes out rickphillips to win it all. rickphillips gets $40 for 2nd place.

Congratulations to thecloserx5 for winning 2 out of the first 3 tournaments. He gets $80 for 1st this time and quickly offered up a bounty for taking him out next time. Next tournament will be February 8th (since The Superbowl will be the first Sunday in February). Come play and take out thecloserx5 to win your buyin back. Hope to see you there. Thanks to everyone that played this time.
