Survivor tournament #4

Soooooooooooo.

Tonight is another night for Survivor: Donkey Island. See Very Josie's post here. I had a friend (outside of our Survivor group) play last Wednesday night and he tuned in to BuddyDank Radio while playing. He LOVED it. He said it was so unique and fun. If you haven't played an online tournament while listening to that tournament being broadcast and commented on by BDR, you have really missed out. It is really fun.

Anyway, on to Survivor: Very Josie's post (or Mr. Joe C Very as Goat recalls her) says she will do NOTHING except focus on winning. If I do say so myself, GOOD LUCK! TEAM DONKEY RULES! Waffles said it best: Stupid people deserve what they get. I'm not saying anything about VJ, Waffles does plenty of that. But I do know he was right in his post when he insinuates Team Donkey is STACKED!

Come on out tonight and see for yourself. Got to Fulltiltpoker then private tournaments then find the Mookie at 21:00pm. Or go to the lobby and under requests, search for a player: jamyhawk (<--link to self per JJOK). Password is vegas1.

See you there. (think I can shove in any more links on this page?)

A rare good fold

$5 rebuy 2nd week in a row

I wish I could say I won it. I really really tried. But I'll take $60 on $10 invested every day. Now I just need to transfer that to the Sunday night Survivor tourneys:

All the money goes in on the turn

2nd tournament of Survivor Series

Last night was the 2nd tournament in our Survivor series. We had 28 players. I started off the tournament as a LAG but had to lay down hands like TPMK when players were shoving 60 BB's into me.

I got down to as little as 900 chips (starting stacks were 3,000) and doubled up with a shove of 99 over an agro raiser with 64off suit (thanks for the gift pushmonkey72). I chipped up a bit and took on more of a TAG style of play. Next thing I knew, I was chip leader with 12 players left.

But winning the tournament was not important to me. Outlasting Team FISH was important. No matter what, I did not want to vote again. And last night, I think it became apparent which Survivor Team is stacked. With 7 players left, we had 5 Team Donkey players still in (Numbono was one of the 5 and I do count him even though he was voted out of the first tournament because he will always be from Team Donkey).

So once the final player from Team Fish was eliminated (Xkm1245), I opened up my play again and ended up shoving with 22. I don't remember exactly what took me out, but I didn't care. I finished 6th and was glad my team won immunity.

Let's be honest: I didn't play the Mookie/Dank last week and I won't be playing it after the Survivor series is over. I'm in these to get my Team immunity.

In the history of survivor there has never been a more unbalanced division of skill as their is between Team Donkey and Team Fish. TEAM DONKEY RULES!

Now if I can only remember to put my "auto rebuy" on for the rebuy tournaments, I should be able to back this up.

First Game of Survivor Poker

First game of Survivor for me tonight. I was ready. I played a rebuy last night to prepare and took it down. I was ready.

Oh and while I start the tournament, I figured I would install Teamspeak so that I can get onto  BDR tonight.

So while working on the Teamspeak, my Fulltilt client wouldn't come up over the Teamspeak window. So I hear a beep and check my table and it's my turn. But the window hadn't popped up.

So the 2nd hand of the tournament, I shove with AK (it's a rebuy), and then go back to work on Teamspeak. Then when I get a moment I go back and check on my tournament, and I'm OUT.

OUT 2nd hand. Brilliant!

Now I know to put auto rebuy on and to get my BDR issues worked out BEFORE I play poker.

Come play Wednesday night. Click the Survivor image to the right. I guarantee I will last longer than the 2nd hand!

Nice little score
