Overvaluing AK

I should have reraised all in from the initial raiser. I learned nothing about his hand with a call. After the flop, I doubt I get away from this hand, but either way, I overvalue AK all the time. I am working on it...

I hate cold calling a 10bb raise with AK. Make a decision. Calling isn't a decision.

Also there is also no reason to bet that flop when checked too. Its a classic WA/WB spot. Betting there accomplishes almost nothing good.

This hand isn't about overvaluing AK, its more about misplaying it imo.

Thanks lucko. What's WA/WB?

WA\WB= Way ahead or way behind.

Meaning that you are either crused or are crushing your opponent. When that is the case, it usually isn't smart to bet. Not always the case tho.

Not being able to see is killing me. Jamie, keep in mind that AK is great if you can see all five cards. Not sure what the 10bb raise does but if you just call, more often than not, you miss the flop so it's better if you just shove (also depends on stack sizes too so this comment might be too generalized).
