From a friend of mine in a live game. We will call him, of course: Hero
2/5 NL Live game in casino poker room. 9 players.
Hero is UTG.
Villain is CO.
Hero is dealt (9d9h). Raises 6x BB to 30. 1 caller, then Villain calls, then BB calls. We have 4 players. *No re-raise, so don't see AA, AK, or KK out there.
Flop comes (9c10sQc).
Hero bets 60. 1 player folds. Villain re-raises to 260. BB folds. *Hero goes into the tank. Replays the betting. Hero knows the Villain is a LAG player so could be on any two cards. Has been known to chase straights and flushes to the river, and Hero has sucked out on the Villain at least twice in the last week, stacking him each time.... Hero calls 200. We are now Heads Up.
Turn comes (3d)
Hero checks. Villain insta-shove all in for 975. *Hero goes back into the tank. Why the all in bet? Wouldn't he try to get something if he is playing KJ? It's too big of a bet for flush draw. Maybe he has two pair? Must be the straight trying to look like flush draw push? Hero folds.
Villain asks to see final card. Hero curses under his breath figuring he just got beat by a flush or straight draw... Dealer obliges and flips over 9s. Villain shows (QhQs) for Set. Hero picks up mucked cards and shows dead Quad 9's.
What would you have done?
