I've been asked by a lot of people how to make money with these, so here it is again with some added points. I hope this helps you.

45 player super turbos (start with 300 chips)


Here are some key points to know if you play these:

*A typical 45 player super turbo lasts 35 minutes if you finish in first place. This is a HUGE reason for me to play. A lot of potential return for a short period of time. Buy ins are 3.50+.30, 7+.50, and 14+1. Look for the yellow T for turbo.

*1 double up will get you to the final 18.

*2 double ups will get you to the final 12 (assuming you are at about 800 in chips).

*If you can get your stack up to $1,200 in chips, you should final table.

*If you final table, you should cash. It's rare that I final table without cashing, although it does happen.

*Try to only shove unopened pots. This is a KEY POINT. A lot of people shove with any Ace, so a call all in with 77 after someone else's shove is –EV (unprofitable). A shove from anywhere, where no one has opened yet, with 77 is +EV (profitable). UTG is a tough place to shove with 99,88 or 77, so I would defer to look at your stack size and then decide. If you can push the blinds off of their pots, then do it. If you are at 2 or 3 BB’s then do it. With a medium stack (4-7BB’s) you may want to fold.

*If you are going to shove with K or Q high, it better be from the button or small blind with no one opened yet.

*Stay super tight early on (why shove KQ from early position to pick up 15/30 blinds?), then widen your range as the blinds you can steal go up. I say widen your range but really mean go from Super-freakin’ tight to pretty tight play.

*Wait for premium hands to shove. AA, KK, QQ and AK are all a must. Unopened pots in mid to late positions can shove JJ, 1010, AQ and KQsooted. Late positions can shove 77 or better. 66 and below is not a profitable shove. Everything is shove or fold. Once you get down to final 15 or so you can start playing normal poker depending on your stack size.

*Wait for premium hands to call a shove. AA, KK, QQ and AK are all a must. JJ and AQ are only if you have 2x the chips or more of the shove. AJ, A10, KQ, 1010, 99, 88 and 77 are only if you have 4x the chips (or if you have gotten a read on them and expect a King or Queen high shove).

*Once you build your stack up to $700+ you can start calling short stack shoves. But remember that they are shoving with any Ace and K high or Q high hands. Don’t call with 10J sooted and expect to be profitable long term.

*Most importantly: Stay Patient. I've gotten down to 100 chips with 40/80 blinds and come back and won. People will try to take you out with any two cards, so if you are super short and have Ace high, most of the time you will be able to double up.

*You will take your share of bad beats and run card dead sometimes. But the payouts make up for it.
6th place is 2.1 x buy in
5th place is 2.52 x buy in
4th place is 4.2 x buy in
3rd place is 6.72 x buy in
2nd place is 10.5 x buy in
1st place is is 15.96 buy in
So you can see that if you just finish 3rd, once every 7 times you play, you will break even. But if you follow my tips you should have a nice positive ROI on these.


ADDED TIPS FROM BOWIE300:
*I would also recomend downloading poker stove and key up the top 10% hands to shove with in unopened pots and exclude the King high and Queen high varieties unless you are tripled up or have 1 bb or less....that is the only time to open up.

*Also, you have to take good notes on the people your playing against,.....what range are they shoving and what position are they in when they do it....are they calling shoves with AceFive offsuit or 10j offsuit ..... Many times these guys will get lucky and chip up....they are a good source to double off of......i would call with QQ, JJ, or 1010 against someone like that.

*Beware of the utg limper. Many times they are sitting on a monster. Just fold to them.
