Internet Poker Legislation

Anyone have any feedback on this bill: HR2366 ?

The PPA is pushing it hard, but I'm not so sure about it.

Haven't read the whole thing. The PPA likes it because it would appear to allow sites to operate in the U.S. with foreign licenses and that's where there money comes from. The U.S. licensing system seems fairly byzantine, but I guess that's no different than the brick and mortar casino licensing system we have today.

I love that there would be an Office of Internet Poker Oversight within the Department of Commerce.

What comes to mind in this case is poker's sure economic impact. Kate Moulene of the the Huffington Post made an editorial on how taxing poker can decrease the national debt on this post:
